REVOLUTIONARY ROAD - KATE AND LEO DESERVES AN OSCAR NOD

I was able to watch Revolutionary Road this afternoon, I'm not a big fan of Titanic nor a Leo fan but I'm a big admirer of Kate Winslet's movies. I don't know what to expect while watching the movie since I haven't had the chance to read Richard Yate's novel. All I know is that, this movie is the big comeback for the two icons. It was an emotional journey to get along with the characters in the film, a relationship taken for granted and an ambition set aside because of normal existence in life. I'm taken with the fact that hopelesness creates positive outlook especially when you decide to conquer and explore your potential. The movie sets on a path to an emotional recovery of a suburban couple having marital bliss because of the ideals of what the society dictates, a man has to work for his family and the woman has to take care of their home. The confrontation scenes between Leo and Kate were a revelation, I think they should have receive a nod from the Academy Awards. Michael Shannon, playing a psychiatric patient, deserves his nomination. The movie felt like a Christopher-Vilma film, very confrontational but were done with minimal and controlled emotions. You won't have a dull moment watching this movie.
